Dr. Christopher Passalacqua developed an interest in chiropractic in junior high school and decided to pursue it as a career when he was a high school senior. He went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa) from which he graduated in 1985. After completing a yearlong residency in a private spinal rehabilitation practice in Peoria, Illinois, he returned home to Michigan then established Discover Chiropractic Clinic in 1988. In 2005, Dr. Passalacqua obtained the DPhCS (Diplomat in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards)—the highest degree obtainable in chiropractic philosophy. He is a recognized leader in his profession and regularly lectures around the nation on chiropractic philosophy and patient interaction.
Dr. Christopher is a passionate believer that fit choices and the practice of consistently healthy habits are the keys to health and wellness. These habits start with a properly functioning nervous system, which is intimately related to a well-functioning spine. Loss of either spinal or nervous system integrity leads to body weakness and greater susceptibility to illness.
Dr. Passalacqua is a member of several professional organizations including the International Chiropractors Association, the Michigan Association of Chiropractic, the Loyal Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers, and the Center for Chiropractic Progress.
Christopher and his wife Leah were married in 1990 and together have two beautiful children, Benedict and Abigail. He enjoys playing ice hockey, working out, and is an avid reader. Dr. Passalacqua is also an independent personal trainer whose primary focus is on functional fitness and athletic development for individuals of all ages. |
